Why the iPhone doesn't have "cut and paste"

Since Apple brought on the founders of Fingerworks, I think I know why the iPhone doesn't have "cut and paste".  It's because the gestures for cut and paste are used for different actions on the iPhone from the Fingerworks keyboards.

So "cut and paste" on a Fingerworks keyboard become "zoom in and zoom out" on the iPhone.

Here's another thing.  Is the iPhone really a multi-touch device or a dual-touch device?

Because I haven't seen any other gestures beyond scrolling and zooming with the iPhone.  I guess only the real Steve Jobs knows.  Or we'll all find out on Friday.

OK, it's not really new. I've had it for about a month. So far I like it. I like having Internet access,
