Microsoft Surface on a tablet

Over at Long Zheng's site, he's got a video of the good people over at Microsoft Research Cambridge demoing a tablet version of Microsoft Surface.  In the video you'll see Steve Hodges demo the functionality and how they did it.  With Jeff Han's work, the good people at Fingerworks (oh, I mean Apple's iPhone) work, and the work from Microsoft we're going to see some fantastic interaction models here in the very near future.  We're going to see gesture vocabularies pop-up (for example, pinch two fingers together to cut).  We're going to see surface aware toys, devices (domino) and services.  And with WPF and XNA running on the Surface devices it's going to be damn nice.  Boy, would I love to work on the surface team.
